Tell me boy

"Tell me boy" is a song that I wrote around last October/November when the autumn/winter-blues hit me once again. There's not much to say about this song as the lyrics already tell everything and I think that each person should make up their own story around it.

I've always wanted to write a song for guitar, because I love the sound of it, but my guitar skills are very limited, or pretty shitty as I would say, so I would never be able to write a "hard" or "difficult" song for this amazing instrument. The main accompaniment is very easy, but I've always wanted to add more to it. And that's where Georg happened. We were jamming at his birthday party a couple of months ago and I decided to play this song. He joined in with his mandolin and I instantly loved the sound. I knew that I wanted him to record this song with me, because it would make the whole song more special, and of course better, in my opinion. We sat together for an afternoon and Georg added his mandolin-, and  even singing- skills to my song and I couldn't be happier with the result.
The video is just a bunch of filming material of what it looks like when we are recording.
And Kebab the cat.

anyways
I hope you enjoy this song

the lyrics:

and we were lonely together
pushing each other away but staying together
every forgotten touch I could remember
while my fighting heart would slowly surrender

Tell me boy when you saw me lying there
did you leave me alone because you didn't care
enough to go through this pain here with me
or were you afraid of what your heart would finally see
2x

I was trying to run away from you
with every step I realised my way was towards you
You were afraid of being trapped by someone else
but the only person to lock you away would be yourself

Tell me boy when you saw me lying there
did you leave me alone because you didn't care
enough to go through this pain here with me
or were you afraid of what your heart would finally see
2x

Tell me boy now you haven't seen me for months
and these scars, as you see, they have healed on these arms
how do you feel when you look straight at me
do you see love or hate, tell me what do you see
